Worthing-based Rossetts Commercials are a ‘one-stop shop’ for Mercedes-Benz business vehicle needs. From sales to servicing, Rossetts have their clients covered. However, extended opening hours increase overheads including energy bills, so they asked us to look at installing a 200kW solar PV system to cut operational costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
Free solar energy now powers operations and can also be used to charge electric vehicles as the UK gradually transitions from petrol to EVs. Since the system was installed, Rossetts have operated virtually off grid for around 3 days at a time and this period is expected to increase with the longer daylight hours of summer. The business can also expect a 50% reduction in annual energy costs.
