OHM Energy Joins The Heat Pump Federation

The Heat Pump Federation

We are proud to announce that OHM Energy is now a full member of the industry body, the Heat Pump Federation.

What does the HPF do?

The HPF supports the growth of the heat pump industry by raising political awareness, encouraging high quality installation standards and training, and scaling the installation of low carbon heat pumps nationwide.

Who can join?

Anyone working in the sector, end-users of heat pumps, and individuals concerned about climate change.

Why have we joined?

Consolidating and scaling our lobbying for UK energy policy development will have greater political influence to reach net zero targets. HPF liaises directly with government departments and regulators, such as HM Treasury, various Ministries, and OFGEM. By working together, we have a better hope to achieve the government’s aim to install 600,000 heat pumps a year by 2028.

We are committed to high standards and the Heat Pump Federation commits to maintaining industry-leading technical standards and training, with a clear focus on protecting the consumer.

Knowledge and resource sharing for best practice is critical for a fast-changing industry like the renewable sector. We have always believed that collaboration is the key to transitioning to a more sustainable society.

OHM Energy also shares the HPF’s commitment to develop an educational capability, both for potential heat pump “consumers” and for schools and colleges like our training hub, to increase the appeal of a heat pump-led heating sector to school leavers and apprentices.

A shared vision

We share the common goal of electrification and by working together with the HPF, we can more effectively build a decarbonised society and a more sustainable future.
